Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Tick Tock

Why, when you are waiting for news, does time seem to slow down?

I'll be back when the requisite time has passed and I can tell you if I have any news for you. Until then, you can find me by the compost bin mixing household shreddings (newspaper, chipboard packaging, corrugated cardboard, and old files) with chicken poop. Or working on my taxes. Or trying new recipes in the kitchen, like kohlrabi fritters. Or maybe even reading books about how to survive the zombie hordes.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock....

It's like a watched kettle. Same thing.

I'm sure Einstein must have had some theory on it.

This is one of those "misery loves company" posts, isn't it? You're waiting for news, and it's driving you crazy, and so you thought you'd allude to some great news and drive the rest of us crazy with the waiting to hear ;).

I hope it's good stuff you're waiting for, and it turns out just as you hope it will :).

It BETTER be good news. I'm not a tick-tocker patient lady, here...

Beware of the zombies. If a zombie eats a vegan... is he a vegan?

Daharja - Yep. Probably.

Wendy - Of course not! Why would I do that? (Insert wide-eyed innocent look here.) I simply wanted to let ya'll know why there are so few posts right now.

Sharlene - patience is not my strong suit either but sometimes you have no control over timelines.

Rob - No, silly. Carnivores often eat herbivores but it doesn't make them vegan.

I wanna hear what it is when the news finally comes! Hope it's good!

Just wanted to say that I discovered your blog while running a google search for compost. I've really enjoyed what I've read so far! Keep up the good work.

Shamba - still waiting....

Moof - welcome! THe compost bin we scored for free is very similar to the one you got for free at the workshop, but ours is missing the front panel at the bottom. I had to wire up a piece of chicken wire to keep stuff from spilling out. It still did, so now there's a bunch of mulch piled in front, too. Eventually, I'll come up with a better replacement panel.

Good luck composting!

I used to get spam that read like demented poetry.

I am catching up here. Your food fotos are making my stomach growl.

Soon it will be spring and I can try once again to help little seedlings grow up!

Nova - my compost killed off some of our seedlings. I guess I didn't let it age enough or maybe didn't put enough carbon in it. Anyway, pretty much all the eggplants are kaput. :(
