Time Off

The kitchen is not finished yet...

...there are boxes piled almost to the ceiling in the bedroom...

...and the office is a disaster zone, but...

...we were all worn out and needed a break this afternoon.

We brushed the dogs and hung the fur up for birds to use in their nests, relaxed, and watched old Northern Exposure episodes. There'll be plenty of time tomorrow to get the work done.

Taking time off to rest and recharge is a good thing to do. Makes it easier to work better and make good decisions once you are rested. You have been going at it for quite a while. You guys need it!

Looks better than it did so progress has happened. It is annoying how things get piled from one room to the next so the space you had cleared up becomes the new dumping ground!

Well after everything you guys have been through you certainly deserved a day of rest! Hope the renos and repairs go smoothly from here on in!

Rest is good. Glad you're taking care of yourselves. And how wonderful to hang the dog hair out for the nesting birdies! I wonder if my city landlord would mind if I hung cat hair on the fire escape like that. On second thought, the birdies might not care for eau de cat.

Wow, I didn't realize the dogs worked so hard at supervising you! Not that mine don't do the same thing.

I love Northern Exposure ;). It was a great show - lots of fun, and the perfect diversion for break time :).

Oh my stars. I never ever would have thought to hang out the gogs fur. You my dear...are a genius! I bow to your superior intellect.

Candace - it helped. Not sure we're making any better decisions though. Ha!

Viv - the kitchen is still not completely finished. After this weekend, I can finally put it back together.

RuralAspirations - I agree.

Kathryn - I haven't seen any birds at the ball of fur yet, but it looks like something tugged at it on one side. Cat fur might not be so popular...

dogear6 - oh, yes. They think it is their full-time job.

Wendy - it's been a lot of fun watching it. We're into the Fourth Season (having watched the first two over a year ago when I picked up the series on craigslist).

The Cooking Lady - why, thank you. Sadly, however, I cannot take full credit. I read a lot and glean ideas from everywhere. This idea was in several books, although none ever really elaborated on how to put out the fur. The net bag is my brilliant idea. ;-)
