You've really been picking on me lately and I'd like to know why. I try to be a responsible human on this here little planet, kind to the earth and its inhabitants, but you don't seem to care. You just keep heaping on the stress and quite frankly I'm getting fed up with it.
Now you've handed me, or rather us, several more big issues to deal with. If you expect me to bend over and take it again, I want some freakin' lube!
Give it a rest already, willya?!

My apologies for going dark today but I had to take care of a few administrative details and wanted to do it all at once.
I also have a question for any technical type people out there. I am getting repeated hits every day from one particular ISP on the main blog page only, approximately every 1 minute 3 seconds for hours at a time. Can anyone tell me what's going on with this? Any way to stop it? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Chile - I'm really sorry for you - it does seem to be one thing after another for you lately!! :(
I can't help w the tech thing either - can you contact your blog server and ask to block that one address? The person might not even know he is doing it; it might be some kind of hiccup. (I only say this b/c I've been getting several copies of a lot of mail lately & it might be a similar thing.)
If it is deliberate, maybe getting it blocked would help. I hope so!
In the meantime, I'm sending hugs & prayers. Feel free to vent - I think we all understand!

I did some research, and it looks like you can block an IP address. Go to toolator.com. You have to register for an account in order to get the code. The steps seem pretty straightforward.
Just lots of hugs during these trying times... there are no words that will take it away, but know that I care and hope things will fall into place ere long... I was going to mention toolator.com also and see if that doesn't help.

If you use a log tracking service like sitemeter, you can ignore the ips so it doesn't appear on your logs. If they're abusive with hitting you, google may take action. If you have something more sophisticated to track your logs you can easily block them...but I've never seen a free service that does this.
Wish I could help out with the ISP stuff but I have no idea...
I'm sorry the universe is kicking you in the A**. Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair...If it helps at all, we're here and listening.
I totally freaked out when I tried to log onto your blog the other day and it said I had to be invited. I think of you as a friend and read everything that you write. Besides, how many other AZ women are out there blogging stuff that applies to me as well? :) I was so glad to be able to log on today. Bless you, Chile and I hope everything works out.
Thanks, all. Did not mean to freak people out with the sudden closure. I've looked at toolator and may go that option if the hits continue. (I haven't checked the stats today.)
And I definitely need to find more friends locally. Cyberfriends are nice but can't give a real hug when that is what's needed.
